The Fiji Military Forces will use a large portion of its 2017/2018 National budget to upgrade its facilities around the country.

Commander, Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto, says most of their camps where soldiers train are old and needs renovation.

“We have very old facilities like the two camps that we have up in Labasa and in Lautoka, so this year we’re thankful that we’re given money so that we can continue the upgrade of our facilities. This year we’re going to be focusing mostly on Lautoka because for the last two to three years we have been working on our Labasa camp and this year we would like to upgrade concentrate on our Lautoka camp.”
