“We are well into the cyclone season now. Military officers are first respondents when it comes to natural disasters. I urge you to spend quality time with families now. Because when disaster strikes, you won’t be with your families as you will be deployed to assist Fijians in affected areas. During cyclone season we make sure that our families and the matters relating to our families when it comes to disaster are prepared well”.

The Commander has confirmed Naval officers are mobilizing to assist the Ministry of Health’s measles vaccination campaign in the Eastern Division.

30 officers were awarded Meritorious Service Awards while 6 officers received the Meritorious Service Decorations.
