RFMF remember fallen comrades

Officers of the six units of the Fiji Military Forces converged at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua this morning to celebrate Infantry Day.

The dawn service has been a tradition for the Military where on the 23rd of June of every year, wreaths are laid in memory of their fallen comrades.

Land Force Commander Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga payed tribute to the late Corporal Sefanaia Sukainaivalu and all those who had sacrificed their lives in the 1st and 2nd World War, Lebanon, Sinai and Iraq.

He also paid tribute to those who lost their lives during the Military mutiny in 2000.

Tikoitoga reassured that the events of 2000 will never be repeated and the ceremony this morning should be a reminder for unity.
