The Republic of the Fiji Military Forces is yet to confirm when they will hold their 40th anniversary celebration.

Commander of the RFMF, Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto, says they are waiting for a reply from the Ministry of National Security and Defence.

Rear Admiral Naupoto says the celebration will likely be done following the general election.

“The date is not finalised yet and we know that the election is between April and September so we want to see when elections is happening.”

Naupoto says the Force will invite family members of the army officers because without their support, duties cannot be performed.
