A country-wide restriction of movement order that was in place from 6pm last night has now been lifted.

National Disaster Management Office’s Permanent Secretary Meleti Bainimarama has confirmed to FBC News that the order is now lifted and the general public are free to move around and resume normal activities.

The restriction was put in place as a safety measure in response to Tropical Cyclone Zena.

With the order now removed, businesses can resume operation.
