A restriction of movement is now in place for Nadi Town with flood waters rising.
The National Disaster Management office is advising that due to the serious threat of flooding in Nadi, a restriction of movement has been put in place on Nadi Town for security and safety reasons.
The Nadi River continues to rise rapidly and pocket areas of low lying areas have begun to flood.
With high tide coming in at 11.45pm, further flooding is expected.
People who are living near the Nadi River banks are urged to move to higher ground or the nearest evacuation centre.
