Restaurants owners will be breathing a sigh of relief with the Ministry of Health deciding to lower restaurants fees.
FBC understands health officers are currently visiting eateries and informing them of the new restaurants fees.
From the old fee of $400 to $500 depending on the restaurant, the new fee structure see eateries paying only as much as $200.
This is part of the new restaurant grading system the ministry has undertaken.
Consumers will now be able to know what type of restaurants they are eating in.
The grading system came into effect with cabinet approving the new restaurants fees last month.
