Reserves will remain at $25 000

Post Fiji has assured the villagers of Lakeba that there will be no shortage of money at their branch on the island.

This comes after villagers told FBC News that they did not receive any money last week as there were insufficient funds at the Post Office.

The villagers want the reserves to be increased from twenty five thousand dollars to one hundred thousand dollars.

Fiji Manager Retail Operation Isaac Mow says $25 000 is the limit which is enough to sustain them.

Mow says none of their branches have $100 000 and the reserve amount is determine by the economic situation.
