The Revenue and Customs is encouraging the public to request for fiscal receipts for goods and services from Vat Monitoring System compliant businesses.

These include hardware companies, accounting firms, medical practitioners, travel agencies, Law firms, supermarkets and pharmacies.

Chief Executive Visvanath Das says customers shopping at regulated supermarkets and pharmacies should receive the new receipt which has a QR code allowing them to scan and verify their purchase.

“We urge customers to scan and verify their receipts using the FRCS Receipt Verification app which can be downloaded for free from Google Play and Apple store.”

The Revenue and Customs is encouraging consumers to report cases and provide the name of regulated businesses who do not issue fiscal receipts.
