Renewable Energy Generation gains profits for FEA

Due to the Renewable Energy Generation project, the Fiji Electricity Authority’s operations costs have dropped.

Chief Executive, Husmukh Patel says this dive is mostly between the months of December to April.

Patel says in 2017, the Authority will monitor ways to maximize Renewable Energy Generation as it is much cheaper than fossil fuel.

He adds the Authority is also much need of some rain to fill up the Monasavu Dam and Nadarivatu Dam to generate power supply.
