His Excellency the President of Fiji, Major General Retired Jioji Konrote shared this advice to the hundreds that gathered at the My Suva Park last night to witness the lighting of the Vodafone-FBC Christmas in the Park Christmas Tree.
The President was the chief guest at the annual event where he flipped the switch that lit up the park, signifying the start of a ten day ‘Christmas in the Park’ jointly organised by Vodafone Fiji and Fiji Broadcasting Corporation.
“Trees also signify life and it is my hope that during this Christmas, we will all appreciate the gift of life that God has given everyone in Fiji in allowing us to appreciate how fortunate we are to be part of this beautiful nation. And as such, let us be more compassionate and caring towards our fellow Fijians.”
The Vodafone-FBC Christmas in the Park will continue until the 17th of this month where various fun activities and entertainment including Christmas carols have been organised to allow families to welcome Christmas.
