February 27, 2016 1:02 am

Fifteen thousand tonnes of relief rations is being delivered to villages severely affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston in the Yasawas.

Divisional Planning Officer West – Sitiveni Tavaga says 15 thousand tonnes of one week rations consisting of rice, flour, dhal, tinned tuna, oil sugar and powdered milk are being distributed to Wayalailai, Wayalevu, Naviti and Viwa Island.

Tavaga says from next week a month’s ration will be sorted and packaged to be transported to the islands to ensure there is some relief while their crops are rehabilitated.
