The Prime Minister has urged Solomon Island descendents in Fiji to get registered so they can be counted in the 2014 General Elections.

Speaking at the 34th anniversary of Solomon Islands Independence, Voreqe Bainimarama says the Solomon community are an integral part of Fiji.

Bainimarama highlighted the importance of voter registration and the constitutional process saying they too, are Fijians.

“I now urged all Fijians of all backgrounds and heritages, old and young , women and men to register to vote. This is an important right and responsibility of us all Fijians.”

Bainimarama says do what is best for the future generation.
