Only forty four days remain until the elections and those who have yet to register are urged to do so.

Fijian Elections Office Communications Coordinator Talei Tora says registration will continue until tomorrow evening.

“The Fiji Elections office and the government believe in the voice of young people, Young people need to take ownership of what’s happening in the country in terms of decision making in choosing our leaders. The Fijian Elections Office officials will be out in the public with registration clerks conducting voter registration.”

Voter registration will close at six on Monday evening once the electoral writ is issued by the President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau .

The nominations for candidates will also begin after the closing of registration.
