Refrain buying from Lajeb Produce: Kumar

The Consumer Council of Fiji is advising people not to use the services of an online supermarket called Lajeb Produce.

Council CEO Premila Kumar says they have received complaints from customers about their purchase.

Some of these consumers here locally have received a list from their relatives and they waiting for the groceries and these groceries were never delivered.

Lajeb Produce has been operating in Fiji since 2012 and payments are made using credit cards.

Kumar says their investigation revealed one of the directors of the company is in Australia.

There may be lot of other consumers who are still waiting for the groceries to be delivered and probably they don’t have any idea that this company does not exist anymore. If you go online on Facebook you will see that this company which pretends they are no longer in existence, but are still there.

The Council is calling on other consumers to contact the office if they have not received their goods.
