November 24, 2017 12:03 am

The Red Cross Society will begin its Annual national appeal tomorrow.

Red Cross Acting Director General Eseroma Ledua says this year’s annual appeal is crucial to the anticipated development and work of the society come 2018.

” Our volunteers will be on the streets, in front of shops as well shaking tins. All the money that will be collected from this appeal will go towards supporting the daily operations of the Society together with helping our team who responds during disasters.“

Ledua says funds collected will enable the Society to get to remote places in the country to help build resilience for communities.

The Fiji Red Cross Society collected about $15K during their Annual National Appeal last year.

The week long appeal begins tomorrow in all its 16 branches including towns and cities.
