A major rebuild has started at Vunikavikaloa Arya Primary School, Ra which was destroyed during Cyclone Winston.

The rebuild is a team effort from Red Cross Fiji, New Zealand Red Cross Society, Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport through its Department of Works, and Rotary Taveuni supported by Rotary Boronia, Australia.

The Ministry of Infrastructure say that they were able to fix some buildings and are still in the progress of rebuilding more classrooms.

Approximately 240 children attends the school from 24 villages and settlements.
