The Reserve Bank of Fiji has ceased the operation of two foreign exchange businesses.
Capital Foreign Exchange – trading as CAMBIO and Natadola Tourism Holdings trading as Just Exchange have had their licenses cancelled.
No reason has been given by the RBF.
The Reserve Bank was delegated powers for the licensing, control and monitoring of foreign exchange dealers in November 2002.
Section 3 of the Exchange Control Act 1985 states the authority to conduct foreign exchange business in Fiji is restricted to persons authorized by the Minister of Finance.
