A 54-year-old driver involved in an accident in Suva last month has been further remanded by the Suva High Court.

Pio Ratuwaqa is charged with one count each of manslaughter and driving whilst there was a concentration of alcohol beyond the excess limit present in his blood.

In court today, State said they were still waiting for the post-mortem examination report.

They sought time to obtain the report and file information and disclosures thereafter.

Defense has stated that they will then require seven days after that to take plea.

The matter has also been transferred to Judge Justice Daniel Goundar’s court.

The case will be recalled on May 8th for mention.
