He’s expected to be sworn in at the next parliament sitting next month.

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa says they have informed the Speaker of Parliament.

She says the passing of the late Ratu Nanovo is a huge loss.

“Athletic, full of energy, refreshing ideas, articulate, soft spoken, steadfast to principles, committed to the service of the people and a think tank full of wisdom, Hon. Ratu Sela Nanovo will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all of us. He has left behind a huge vacuum in our party and our parliamentary caucus.”

Funeral arrangements for the late Ratu Nanovo are currently underway.
