Not every family that has been affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston will be given rations.

This was confirmed by the Commissioner Western Manasa Tagicakibau.

Tagicakibau says people need to understand that rations are for those who are in dire need.

“Rations should only be provided to those who have had their source of livelihood cut off or destroyed.”

Tagicakibau says those who are employed and receive a salary fortnightly are not eligible for rations.
