Rainy conditions delay housing projects

October 24, 2018 3:57 am

Work on some of the Housing projects around the country has been delayed due to the wet weather conditions that we’ve been experiencing in the past two weeks.

Housing Authority General Manager, Isikeli Navuda says the opening dates scheduled for Davuilevu, Tavakubu and Tavua housing will now change.

”Yes of course this will affect the completion date of work that we have to factor in our programming, whatever the contractors will be entitled to extend of time due to wet weather so it will affect the completion and delivery date.”

Navuda says the opening of Tavakubu and Tavua housing has now been moved to year end, however they will try and complete the project on time.
