Opposition MP Salote Radrodro says there should be an increase in the Help for Homes initiative.
Speaking in Parliament this morning during the budget debate, Radrodro claims that people who are affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston are seeking an increase in the assistance.
Radrodro says there is a possibility for government to increase the various allocations for families if there is prudent financial management.
“Government can easily transfer sixty million from head fifty and let me give you some examples on which they could transfer, seg ten marketing support for Fiji Airways eighteen million, seg six public service broadcast radio six point six million.”
Radrodro says the focus should be on these families and their recovery should be paramount for the Fijian government.
