Race for Survival first for Labasa

The Save the Children’s Race for Survival was held in Guru Nanak Primary School Labasa this year and focused on showing how communities and children can create cost-effective ways to both conserve water and protect their health.

The Race for Survival is a 1500m relay Race with more than 400 children involved.

A total of eight schools participated in the race with the first place going to St Mary’s, 2nd place went to St Augestine Primary School while 3rd place went to Holy Family School.

The race is part of a global action campaign with more than 60 countries taking part to give children a voice on their concerns surrounding their own health.

In Fiji, the race and exhibition focused on how to create cost-effective ways to protecting your health in dry weather.
