SODELPA party leader Sitiveni Rabuka has clarified his interview in the Australian 60 Minutes program, saying his comments are well based and well founded.
However the Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says Rabuka’s comments are obtuse and unsubstantiated.
Rabuka says he did not make the comments unthinkingly.
“I thoroughly thought about those, I did not know what 60 Minutes was here for, I did not call for them, they came and ask me for an interview but they knew their line of production was china in the Pacific.”
In a press conference earlier, the Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says Rabuka’s remarks shows his inconsistency but Rabuka says AG’s comments is so uncalled for.
“Here is a leader of a supposedly leader of a alternative government whose willing to actually go out and spread false information. He is implying that I do not think which is unbecoming of an Attorney General to think of an ordinary citizen.”
Sayed-Khaiyum says it is very unfortunate that Politicians like Rabuka continue to misrepresent facts for their own political gain.
