In the lead up to the National Budget announcement later this evening, SODELPA Leader and former Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has called for more stringent and physical control in our 2017/18 budget.

Rabuka says this year’s budget is expected to be one that consider the interest of all Fijians.

With expectations high from various business sectors within the economy, Rabuka is calling on Fijians not to rely on government for everything.

“Where the people don’t come running to government for all the small needs they have, they must be able to stand on their own two feet.”

The 2017 and 2018 budget will be announced at 7pm tonight.
