Seven youth clubs in the Ra province received carpentry assistance from the Ministry of Youth and Sports this week.

The clubs from Nokonoko, Namataveikai, Nabalabala, Vunisea, Burelevu, Nailuva and Balisere were provided this assistance to further their carpentry skills.

The training session was facilitated by the Technical College of Fiji.

The clubs had approached the Ministry during the training session as they had insufficient carpentry tools to carry out rehabilitation following Tropical Cyclone Winston.

Many Cyclone affected areas in the Ra province are still in the rebuilding phase and lack of basic carpentry tools were hindering their reconstruction work.
