Quick marketing needed for tourism recovery

Quick recovery of Fiji’s tourism market will help the country economy.

Economist – Professor Biman Prasad says immediate steps need to be taken to promote Fiji in its major tourism markets.

Professor Prasad says even though the tourism infrastructure has not suffered much damage, reports on heavy flooding can affect visitor arrivals.

“Ensure that the marketing and the quick response by the stakeholders in the industry bring back as many visitors as was forecasted earlier this year.”

Nadi which is the tourist town suffered the most during the recent floods.
