Queens Road at Sigatoka open

The Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed that as of now, the Queens Road in Sigatoka is open to all traffic.

However the FRA is urging motorists to be cautious as the high tide is at this hour.

FRA is asking public to please remain vigilant and tune into the local radio station to listen to the advice of emergency services.

Meanwhile, the roads in Koronivia and Lokia in Nausori are still flooded.

FBC News team is travelling towards Nausori and reports water level in the Rewa River is still high.

Villagers in the nearby areas are monitoring the water levels by placing a stick in the ground and claim it is rising.

Low lying areas in the Rewa Delta are still flooded, which includes the Toga Village and the Chinese camp situated beside the road just before the Rewa Bridge.

Villagers in Toga say they are yet to receive any assistance.

The Naqali Road is closed to all traffic as flood waters are yet to recede.
