Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho will continue in his position as acting Police Commissioner for the Fiji Police Force.

This was confirmed yesterday when the President Major General Jioji Konrote, acting on the advice of the Constitutional Offices Commission, extended the appointment.

Qiliho will be acting Commissioner of the Force until such time when a substantive appointment is made.

The Constitutional Offices Commission advertised the vacancy of post in December last year.

Applications for the vacancy closed on 29 January and are currently being processed by the Constitutional Offices Commission.
