Qiliho to apply for Police top job

Acting Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho will apply for the post of Police Commissioner.

In an exclusive interview with FBC News, Brigadier General Qiliho says he has thought about it and decided to take up the role on a full time basis.

He believes he has the right set of skills for the job given that he has spent more than 2 decades in the disciplined forces.

“Working-both in Fiji and also overseas, I have approximately 28 years of service to Fiji through the Military and ten years of those have been overseas.”

Brigadier General Qiliho has been acting Police Commissioner since the resignation of former Police Commissioner Ben Groenewald last month.

The post has been advertised.
