Qiliho gives stern warning to members of the public

Police Commissioner Brigadier Sitiveni Qiliho has given a stern warning to members of the public not to retaliate with their officers when they are doing their work.

This comes after one of their officer’s got attacked at his home in Caubati last night.

“Last night we had an incident where one of our officers had arrested two drunkard personnel who failed to pay their taxi fare and was released. The one that was released went and got a group of nine people and went to the residence of the police officer when he went off duty and assaulted him. I said this before we will not tale these attacks lightly."

Qiliho adds that before acting, people must think about the consequences of their actions and retaliating against his officers is something he will never condone.

He has also directed his team to assist in the arrest of the person involved in the stoning incident in Tamavua-i-Wai.
