Public urged to make submissions on bus fare review

The bus review committee which was established last month to review the current bus fares begin their public consultations today in the Western division.

Committee chair Joel Abraham is also calling on the general public to make submissions both written and oral by the 15th of this month.

In a public notice, Abraham says given the comprehensive consultation throughout Fiji, all Fijians are encouraged to actively participate in the review process.

The committee is expected to be at Ra Provincial Grounds this morning before traveling to Garvey Park in Tavua.

From tomorrow the committee is scheduled to travel to Nadi, Lautoka and Ba wrapping up the Western division in Sigatoka on Friday.

On Saturday, the committee will then travel to the North holding consultations at Labasa College.

Next week, the committee is expected to convene public consultations over the week at Valelevu grounds in Nasinu on Monday, Sukuna Park in Suva on Tuesday, concluding on Wednesday in Nausori at Sriya Park.
