Public invited to Modi welcome ceremony

Members of the public who wish to be part of the welcoming ceremony for India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi are advised to be at Albert Park before half past eight this morning.

Police Chief Operational Officer ACP Rusiate Tudravu says restrictions on movements are expected at the venue.

“We encourage people to come .There are restrictions on movements however does not restrict people to come .We try every effort to accommodate people .There are also screens that will be available on the ground for those that will be outside demarcated areas for us to actually view the traditional ceremony that is going on.”

Parents and guardians are being advised to take care of their children if they are going to Albert Park.
