While it may be an old-fashioned system, libraries remain an integral part in building a nation.

“Libraries if used well, promote lifelong learning, high levels of literacy and preserve written manuscripts of dynamic epochs of our cultures and histories for the future generation.”

Koroivueta says libraries and librarians in the past have been a pillar for nation building, helping people in their life and this needs to continue.

The theme of the meeting was Libraries, Knowledge and Communities which aims to make greater contribution to the society.
