The Ministry for Lands hopes to strengthen its service delivery through a series of public consultations they are holding around the country.
Minister for Lands Mere Vuniwaqa says their objective is to meet their customers and to review their processes due to the large number of complaints.
She says improving service delivery is a cornerstone of the Bainimarama government.
“We have looked at the complaints that people have put in to the Ministry and boils down to processes within so we are looking at that. In order to review properly holistically we thought we should hear the issues first get to know what the issues are and then go on this expedition. It’s just to further strengthen service delivery.”
The Ministry held a public consultation in Nadi today, their third with previous forums held in Sigatoka and Lautoka.
There will be a similar consultation in Labasa with a final one in Suva.
Vuniwaqa acknowledged the large number of people who attended the public consultation in Nadi saying it was one of the largest turnouts.
