More than 9000 complaints have been received since the Land Transport Authority launched its toll free line.

LTA Chief Executive Naisa Tuinaceva says the majority of complaints are against public service vehicle drivers.

More than five thousand complaints have been lodged against bus, taxi and mini bus drivers since the 582 text platform was launched last year.

LTA CEO Naisa Tuinaceva says they are worried about the conduct of PSV drivers.

He adds drivers must have the passion for service – saying any bad behavior tarnishes the image of the Authority.

PSV drivers are reminded to strictly follow the PSV code of conduct as their job is under scrutiny at all times.

“They are just public servants when you came to get a group three, group four and a group five these all categories are all for public service vehicles.”

The CEO has demanded that PSV drivers change their attitude or they will lose their license.

The public is urged to text complaints to 582 for any complaints.
