The Code of Conduct Bill must come into effect as soon as possible.

Public Service Commission member Dr. Akinisi Kedrayate made presentations on the Bill before the Parliamentary Committee on Justice, Law and Human Rights.

The PSC is responsible for hiring and firing all Permanent Secretaries.

“The Code of Conduct Bill will strengthen Permanent Secretaries performance in terms of work ethics and provide a guide for the Public Service Commission to institute disciplinary action.”

Dr. Kedrayate also says the public must be made aware of Code of Conduct laws so they can make the best use of it.
