The Cakaudrove Provincial Council has been tasked with discussing and planning a way forward for the future of its younger generation.
Opening the Cakaudrove Provincial Council meeting this morning, I-Taukei Affairs Board Deputy CEO Josaia Toganivalu says it’s been noted that more i-Taukei are involved in criminal activities including rape, robbery with violence and the abuse of women and children.
This he says has seen more i-Taukei being admitted in our corrections centers Toganivalu says it’s been found that there are alot of differences and no respect for those holding traditional leadership roles.
He adds family ties are getting weak and there is distrust amongst the people.
Toganivalu has urged the Council to talk about and discuss the solutions to these issues and map out a way forward for its youth and children.
