A prominent lawyer in Suva believed to be involved in alleged drug trafficking has been charged by the police.

Spokesperson, Jokatama Qio confirms the lawyer has been charged with one count of in possession of illicit drugs.

He will be produced at the Suva Magistrates court this afternoon.

The lawyer was arrested on Tuesday night during a drug raid at a hotel in Suva following a tip off from the public.
