Acting Vice Chancellor of the Fiji National University Professor Ian Rouse is leaving FNU in two days as his contract expires.

Chair of the FNU Council IkbalJannif says Professor Rouse was an active member of the Senior Management Group and made some positive changes during his term as Dean and AVC.

Jannif says Professor Rouse became the ‘face of FNU’ in recent months and his involvement in a large number of projects strengthened the profile of Fiji National University.

Professor Rouse’s substantive position of Dean of the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences will be advertised next month.

He joined the Fiji School of Medicine as the Dean in March 2009 and became Acting Vice Chancellor of FNU from December 2014.
