The summary of facts indicates that on that day, the student was inside the classroom giving out inter-house letters and also playing with another classmate, when the teacher walked towards him and slapped him.

The medical report showed there was slight swelling on the students’ cheek.

The magistrate took into consideration that the teacher is married with a child and is a first offender.

She will have to serve three months in prison if she commits an offense during the suspended period.
