Price of motor spirit and premix to increase from Monday

Major increases in the price of motor spirit and premix will come into effect from Monday.
Price for motor spirit and Premix will be increased by 18 cents.
One litre of motor spirit was $2 but will now cost $2.18 cents.
Premix price has increased from $1.84 to $2.02.
Kerosene has an increase of 8 cents and will now cost $1.62 compared to $1.54 per litre.
Diesel price has increased by 7 cents and will now cost $1.89 cents per litre.
Looking at the LPG Prices, 4.5kg cylinder will now cost $13.46 compared to $12.89, an increase of 57 cents.
Price for 12kg cylinder now stands at $35.89 compared to $34.37, an increase of $1.52.
13kg cylinder will now cost $38.88, an increase of $1.65.
Price of bulk will increase by 11 cents and will now cost $2.52 compared to $2.41 per litre.
Autogas price has increased by 7 cents, and will now cost $1.69 compared to $1.62 per litre.
Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission acting chief executive Senikavika Jiuta says the increases are due to the movement in international prices for Petroleum and LPG products since the last quarter.
Jiuta says ongoing global trade tensions between China and the US have also escalated, thus the increase.
