President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote was briefed yesterday by Disaster Officials on the work carried out so far to provide immediate relief support following the aftermath of TC Winston.

The Head of State was updated on the work carried out by agencies which includes different divisions in government, non-government organisations and charitable organisations.

Officials also briefed the President on operations underway to ensure the provision of basic needs, restoration of essential services and economic recovery.

He was also informed about the status of Fijians in the worst affected areas and those living in evacuation centres and the outpouring of foreign assistance.
