The public are being reminded to start preparing now before a possible cyclone warning is issued.

The National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) is calling on everyone to be responsible to avoid loss of life and property.

Director NDMO Akapusi Tuifagalele says while cyclone ULA is slow-moving and is still out of range, Tropical Disturbance 07F is expected to affect Fiji weather tomorrow with heavy rain and perhaps flash flooding.

“We should be expecting some flooding in some low lying areas for those that are crossing river, creeks and ,bridges and it’s important for them to know that if there are movements to be made then it should be made during the day during dark hours if the road is not good then perhaps they should wait for the daylight.”
