Preparations for the Vodafone Hibiscus Festival are underway at the new venue at the Carpenters foreshore in Suva.
The Hibiscus Event Group Incorporated is hoping for fine weather this week so that it can have the place ready for the opening on Saturday.
The Hibiscus Events Group Incorporated spokesperson, Liga Gukisuva says they have organised various activities to draw a large crowd to the festival.
“I wouldn’t want to name them now for the sake if you want to see them you have to be here to be part of the festival and also in the past years we’ve had organisation that come in to advocate product and the services they have. We also have the financial institution it in a way this festival will also provide a stop shop for the members of the public and come and understand services for members of the public and where they can go do.”
A total of 58 people will be competing for the various titles up for grabs including the main Hibiscus crown.
