Postal voters reminded to return package before deadline

Registered Fijians who applied for postal voting are advised to return their postal ballot package by 6pm Wednesday.

Elections Supervisor Mohammed Saneem says the Elections Office has made additional arrangements for postal voters to return their packages at any of their area offices.

” This means that Fijians who have their postal ballot at hand can walk into any of our area offices and drop the postal packet we have provided you at these locations. These boxes should be available to you from tomorrow (MONDAY) and we will be collecting these boxes on the 13th of November after 6pm. So your chance to drop it on Monday and Tuesday at least.”

Meanwhile, there were a total of 10,040 local postal applications while 1187 applications were for overseas postal voters.
