A post mortem has been conducted on a 55 year old woman who died in a car accident in Rakiraki last week.

Police have confirmed the woman died from excessive blood loss and severe injuries sustained from the impact of the accident.

The 55 year old driver – the husband of the deceased, is expected to be questioned today.

The road fatality rate stands at 7 compared to 3 for the same period last year.
