February 10, 2018 12:58 am

Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum says a lot of politicians are not speaking the truth and this is obvious in the media.

During the prefects induction at Naqali District School in Naitasiri, Sayed- Khaiyum reminded the newly inducted prefects to be honest at all times.

“A lot of people unfortunately, even grownups do not speak the truth, and we can see that in the media everyday now. All these politicians aren’t speaking the truth, lot of lasulasu going on, too much. So if people are to hold positions, if they are to become leaders, if they going to become ministers, they going to become prime ministers or they going to become a good teacher or leader in the community they must always fundamentally be able to be honest and being honest means always speaking the truth . There is no point in holding as position if you know that you got hold of that position by telling people lies. There is no point in being a prefect if you know that contouring to be a prefect because you are lying. There is no point in me becoming a minister if I am come to you at election time and lie to you to win your vote.”
