A 42-year-old police officer who is alleged to have raped a 15 year old girl on the 22nd of last month appeared in court this morning.

Corporal Michael Pratap is charged with three counts of rape.

The case was supposed to be remitted to the High court.

Magistrate Joji Boseiwaqa says the registry failed to drop the transfer orders so the matter will be recalled in the Suva High Court.

The man is remanded to the 19th of this month.
